A Special Kind of Gift
Is to find a gift to see a smile on that unique child who needs a special kind of acknowledgment. It may be a picture, poem, book, movie, toy. etc. whatever it may be to show the importance of the gift of giving and its worthiness to the person who receives it. Most importantly the happiness of a heart and the infectious spread of love in a world that can destroy those emotions so easily.

Sign Language for all :)
Well I've been away but never stop thinking of things to post on here... and I got some time so I wanted to share the art of sign language in it's simplicity. I myself have only learned the basics to be able to communicate with my sister since very young and it is an entirely good feeling to express your feelings through this form of language. Maybe its because the senses being used that are more engaging than just a verbal conversation. Although, every form of language is unique and one of the most important ways of communication in the sense. To be able to communicate with someone with barriers is a great advantage.

A toy store for children with special needs
http://blog.friendshipcircle.org/about/
Growing up with my sister I could never find a store specific to the needs of the disabled and I would find myself looking in the baby isles of big department stores for a toy. Since she is blind she likes to feel and hear certain objects but the toys were always aged specified for toddlers so it left me to wonder maybe there could be a way to start up a toy store for those who require special needs and attention. As the years have gone by I basically settled for what I could find to fit her needs but now I believe it's never to late to make a change or a difference...

How do you find the interests of a special needs child?
I know not everyone has to be involved or has ever met a special needs child but for those that know a family member or a friend or friend of a friend there comes a time when you need to learn those interest. Just for your own curiosity or knowledge. My sister who is the eldest has special needs and I often find myself watching her and wanting to know what she is thinking or what does she desire but with her multiple handicaps it isn't easy to try and determine what she needs at the time other than the basic life necessities such as food, clothing, shelter, grooming and such things of the sort. So how do you find those needs?
